Simplify your mornings with this low-prep, high-impact warm-up pack! Perfect for middle and high school students, these worksheets build real-world readiness one day at a time.

November Theme: Gratitude and Reflection:

November’s prompts focus on appreciation, kindness, and recognizing the good — in themselves, others, and their surroundings. Students reflect on the people who support them, the progress they’ve made, and how they can give back to their community. A great way to encourage perspective and positivity.

Skills supported:

  • Identifying emotions and responses
  • Using coping strategies
  • Practicing self-regulation
  • Reflecting on social situations and behavior

What’s Included:

- 4 weeks of Monday–Friday warm-up worksheets

(1 password protected PDF that cannot be edited)

- each page follows a consistent, calming structure:

  • Today’s Date
  • How I Feel Today (with visual emotion check-in scale)
  • One Word to Describe My Morning
  • Today’s Plan (What I need to do / What I want to do)
  • Daily Reflection Prompt
  • Positive Self-Talk Sentence Starter

- a "How to Use" page for students to understand the importance of this resource

- each worksheet is undated, so they can be used in any order year after year

Targeted Skills:

- emotional check-ins & self-awareness

- executive functioning and planning

- promotes a trauma-informed, predictable start to the day

How to Use:

- use these pages as morning work or a daily starter activity

- encourage students to complete independently or with minimal prompts

- use the emotion check-in to guide class discussion or individual support

- reflection prompts tie into transition goals and independent living skills

- positive self-talk helps build coping strategies and self-regulation

Tips:

- print and bind for each student as a monthly journal

- offer choice: let students decorate their cover page

- or use daily as individual pages

- use completed pages as data for IEP goal progress on SEL and self-awareness

- designed with the month of August in mind, but can use at anytime
