This is a detailed unit as a powerpoint for the SmartBoard on nuclear energy, fission, fusion, radioactivity, half-life, half-life graphs & calculations, video clips on nuclear energy, lots of examples for each concept, etc. This meets the common core state standards for 9th grade Physical Science under "Reactions of Matter" & "Nuclear Reactions". The students are really engaged in this unit, because they love to discuss nuclear weapons, potential risks of nuclear reactions, but also how we use fission and fusion to benefit us!
