Our Number Lines lesson plan teaches students to define and correctly use a number line for adding, subtracting and skip-counting. Students are asked to utilize their creativity as they create an accurate number line with construction paper and other supplies, in turn reinforcing their understanding of how to use a number line to solve math problems. Students are also asked to individually complete practice problems in order to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define and correctly use a number line for adding, subtracting, and skip-counting.
