Description
The Number Matching & Memory game can be used two ways. For both activities cut out the cards and laminate them for longer use. For the matching activity cut up the cards and have students practice counting the dots in the tens frames and pair them to the number they go with. For a more advanced activity have students lay the cards face down and try to match them playing the memory game. 40 cards total- 20 of them include the numbers 1-20 and the other 20 are 10/20 frames to pair to each number.
Common Core Kindergarten Mathematics Standards: Counting & Cardinality- Understand the relationship between numbers
and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
a. When counting objects, say the number
names in the standard order, pairing each
object with one and only one number name
and each number name with one and only
one object.
b. Understand that the last number name said
tells the number of objects counted. The
number of objects is the same regardless of
their arrangement or the order in which they
