Students practice saying numbers, operational symbols, addition expressions, subtraction expressions, and full equations out loud, making it an ideal warm-up for whole group, small group, or partner work, or even a fun team or individual game.
The sequence begins with numbers within 10, then moves to naming the symbols plus, minus, equals, and progresses to reading both addition and subtraction expressions and equations. Each section includes two versions:
- With a small word bank (plus, minus, equals) for support
- With the word bank covered for added challenge
