Patterns are the foundation of numeracy skills. Without a solid understanding of patterns, learners may not understand numbers. Exploring Number Patterns takes students step-by-step learning how number patterns work. Students begin by identifying growing (+) and shrinking (-) patterns, identifying the change in patterns (+3 or -5), completing patterns (with and without missing numbers) and then putting all they learned together in a final activity. Students also practice using a number line to support their learning.
