Description

Your students will love the challenge of determining the rule and writing the next 3 numbers that follow that rule. Task cards have 2, 3, and 4-digit number patterns. The activity has been updated with answer keys and a recording sheet, which can be used with both sets of task cards.

Write the next three numbers using 2 and 3-digit numbers: 9 pattern cards including, space where students need to show their thinking by Writing the Rule on each card.

Write the next three numbers: using 4-digit numbers: 9 pattern cards including, space where students need to show their thinking by Writing the Rule on each card.

Response sheet: Use for all sets of pattern task cards

Answer keys for cards: 18 answer response cards result of 2, 3, and 4-digit number cards.

Make Your Set of Number Pattern Cards: Separate sheet for 2-digit, 3-digit, and 4-digit pattern cards with a space to write the rule used. One area on the make a 2-digit number pattern has the instructions for the task. Students state their starting number.

Blank Task Cards: 9 cards for students to create their own number sequencing patterns -or you can create your ideas for developmentally appropriate use in your classroom.

Resource Anchor Poster: A large poster stating the instructions which can be posted in your room. Color and in black and white.

It is perfect for your math center, independent activities, teacher-led lessons, and assessment tools at any time of the year.
