Description
Number puzzles are the perfect way to incorporate math and logic! This bulletin board allows students to get out of their seats and interact independently or together. This puzzle can be used while waiting for class to begin. It can be used as part of a reward system for those that complete the puzzle. I personally used this puzzle as a time filler for students that finished their work early. I rarely had students sitting in their seats doing nothing! They LOVED this game!
This number puzzle activity is inspired by the well-known puzzle called SUDOKU. To find puzzles to use for this activity, use the internet or use puzzles from a book purchased at a store.
ALL printable sheets are 8.5 by 11 inches!
Includes:
*Printable puzzle board (24 sheets total to create the game board)
*Printable letters (spelling “NUMBER PUZZLE”)
*Printable star numbers (must print this file 9 times to have enough numbers.
Recommendations:
*Print on cardstock (your choice of color - I printed on white)
*Laminating all pieces that are printed to allow for longer usage
*Trim puzzle board sheets before connecting to create the large puzzle board
*Use the rough side of velcro on the puzzle board squares. Use soft side of velcro on the back of star numbers.
Not Included but NEEDED:
*You will need to put velcro pieces on each square of the game board and on each star number.
*You will also need something to store the star numbers in. I created paper boxes to pin to the bulletin board for easy access and organization (one for each number). You can get creative with how you want to store the star numbers.
I hope you and your students enjoy this interactive puzzle!
