This is a packet I created and used with the first grade math students I teach. It covers many of the basics children within the upper grades are lacking... number sense. I teacher upper grades math too! My unique position has allowed me to use my knowledge to build a beneficial packet about number sense.
I use repetition and step by step lessons within in the packet. This would be outstanding to use for a long term substitute, as a review, or as new instruction.
The lessons include step by step directions for the teacher. There are visuals of the hands on manipulatives to be created within the packet.
Mastery of skills is promoted by having classwork and homework sheets for each lesson!
