Bell Ringer Presentation

Number Talks should be used as a warm-up and are designed to allow thinking about a variety of concepts as a review. This helps previously learned concepts to stay fresh for students. They should also learn that there are multiple avenues to approach equations, expressions, word problems, etc. and students’ ideas should be valued. Mistakes should be a natural part of the learning process as well, and number talks will give students the comfort to help find each other’s mistakes in order to grow in their learning of mathematics.
