Real Life Numbers Around Us Photo Task Cards

60 Number Photo Cards - This set of photo task cards give your students a chance to see real life numbers in everyday situations. The cards progress from one digit to millions. I also include 10 activity sheets to go with the photo cards.

The goal of these cards is for your students to see numbers all around them and then to easily do mental math to add 10, subtract 10, multiply by 10, etc. So their whole world is a math activity!

How can I use this product?

You can use the photos at the beginning to introduce and talk about numbers. You can view the numbers on your screen or tablet and students can say them out-loud, do place value activities or use the included activity sheets. I also duplicated each photo onto half sheets so you could print them out instead. And then set the task cards up as a math center. You could then follow up with the number scavenger hunt as homework.

The photos are coded so the one/two digit ones use a circle on the photo, three digits use a triangle (three sided shape), then a square and a pentagon. There are 15 photos with each code, so 60 photo cards altogether.

What is included?

1 pdf file with 109 pages

* 3 pages of cover/copyright info/and teacher notes

* 60 pages with each photo on it's own page (for viewing)

* 30 pages with the same photos with two photos on each page (for printing out)

* 1 page of the list of numbers

* 10 pages of activity sheets (differentiated: start w/ add 1, subtract 1, up to multiply by 1000, divide by 10.

* 1 page scavenger hunt for home or around the class/school
