Description

This is a great way to introduce numeracy into lessons across the curriculum.

It is an introductory lesson Teaching the pupils the concept of variables and three different types of graphs- Bar, Line and Pie Chart .By the end of this lesson pupils will have an understanding of the different types of graphs and when to use them.

This can be split into different sections and used during Form Periods/ Tutor Time as a great numeracy tool.

This resource pack contains: A PPT (30 slides) and handouts (7 sheets) .

Activities include:

Starter: this is our Back To School - Starter and Plenary Prompt Selector INTERACTIVE resource which is alone worth $3.20!

An activity that is to be completed in pairs to reinforce understanding of the key terms studied this lesson.

Explanations and examples of a Bar chart, different examples of line graphs and pie charts. Pupils will be asked to complete plotting activities (2 differentiated sheets) based on data provided to them.
