Description
I use this in my class everyday. Each day the student comes in the classroom and writes down the objective and essential question for that day. They have to answer the essential question before we discuss it as a class. The questions always come from the previous days lesson. On Fridays the students have a prompt, that should summarize what they have learned that week. This prompt should be answered with five or more sentences. I give my students a grade for this every week. By tracking themselves on the number line, I can also gauge at which point they feel ready for the Unit Test.
