For 2 of the 3 lessons, students will compare sets either as a class or with a partner.

Themes:

  • Lesson 1 - The Pumpkin Patch: Students "visit" areas of a pumpkin patch (there are 6 total) to determine how many objects there are in that area.
  • Lesson 2 - Bats in a Cave: Students explore "bat caves" to determine how many bats live there. The class compares the amounts of bats in each cave.
  • Lesson 3 - Trick or Treat: Students go "trick or treating" around a "neighborhood". They count their total amount of candy and then compare amounts with a partner.

One of the best products I've purchased. I have looked high and low to find a product for comparing numbers that will engage my students and further explain the concept.
