Word problems can be hard for my little firsties to understand. This packet has helped my students understanding of word problems tremendously! These templates have a built in section that encourages student math talk! Students will have to compare strategies and justify their answer! It seems hard for firsties, but after using these for a few week,s my kiddos have gotten awesome at this! This packet contains the following types of word problems: joining, separating, comparing, and decomposing.There are a total of 12 problems included in this packet. I will be working on the other monthly packets (that will include progressing skills, word problems, etc.) as the months come.
