Description

These are brain puzzles that you can start your math class with. There are no 100% right answers, let the students tell you the connections and how they got there. They can use addition, subtraction, multiplication, prime numbers, multiples, factors, square numbers, etc. The discussions that can come out of it are unlimited! These can be just conversations at the beginning of class, or as a formative assessment for previous lessons. Included is a slide show with 30 days of these problems and a worksheet in case you want to use it as a formative assessment.
