"I've used this activity from Project Wild for over 15 years, but it had been a few years since I'd used it last. I appreciated the structure of the game in this resource."

Description
I have always loved Project Wild's Oh Deer game - so do my students. I have created a pre-reading for building background knowledge. While studying the deer's role in the ecosystem, so many of our concepts can be addressed! Students will be able to reflect on the reading, honing their life science.concepts AND vocabulary.
The Oh Deer game is included with options to extend. The game does not need any supplies and kids love it. After playing it in class, my students started playing it at recess!
After the game, let your students graph the results on a line graph (I included a template) and reflect on the results.
It's a great activity that should take about an hour. So many concepts and vocabulary are covered and your kids will remember the experience!!!
