This project based Olympics resource gives students an opportunity to apply most of the Math concepts learned for their grade level in order to complete real-world problem solving. The resource pages are packed with content that can be completed over many days of instruction and need little preparation. Students will also use ELA skills to research and write about the Olympics. I have also included a Teacher’s Guide/Answer Key. You can use with Gifted and Talented and high achieving students for an individual challenge or as a whole class/small group activity for all students. Some of the content extensions will be naturally differentiated by students creating their own problems based on research. Other activities are differentiated and give 2 options for different ability learners. A few problems include connections to skills for the next grade level.
