I enacted this with an RBT over telehealth speech during the patient's in-home visit. He did great being able to watch the interaction and decide if we were staying on or off topic. Great way to introduce topic maintenance. We then could talk about what the person could say differently to be "on topic."

This is a great resource that I used with a student while online teaching. It provides examples of on topic and off topic conversations that help students to recognize abrupt topic changes and practice keeping the conversation going while keeping on topic. Would recommend!
