Here is a great for your students to practice writing one-sentence summaries and short summaries. Summarizing is such a difficult skill for students to master.
Each of the 15 task cards includes one paragraph. Students must read the paragraph and write a summary of what they read. Included are three different response cards that students can use to record their summary. There is also a space on each card where students can write the card number they completed. There are 3 different response cards so you can choose how much space your students need to complete their one-sentence summary.
