Description
The students can physically place the operation on both sides of the equation using this template. It also comes with the words to an original order of operations song that goes to the tune of London Bridges. The template is for teachers who like to use single line steps. I have found the single line or horizontal way seems to help for later when taking roots to solve problems. This template helps the students get used to the pattern before writing it out. They can glue it into an interactive notebook!
The template comes with teacher instructions.
The mini activity and template are also part of the Gift Activity Bundle as a review of one step equations before moving on to two step equations.
This package also includes worksheets with one step equations.
- one with guided steps for each addition / subtraction / multiplication / division
- one without guided steps for each operation
- one with mixed addition / subtraction problems
- one with mixed multiplication / division
Answer key for worksheets included.
