One-Step Equations Coloring Page - Thanksgiving

This is a one-step equation coloring sheet. The students will select the appropriate one-step equation that represents a word problem. They will then color the accompanying sheet based on their answers.

I recommend printing the worksheet and the coloring page using your printer's 2-per page feature. I do this in my classroom to save paper and the type is plenty big enough for the students to be able to see.

This activity is Common Core aligned:
6.EE.B.5, 6.EE.B.6, 6.EE.B.7
7.EE.B.3, 7.EE.B.4

This would be a great "What do I do now" activity or as a fun activity before Thanksgiving break.

This activity is not one-step equations and the answers are wrong. I highly suggest you take this activity down.

Understand solving an equation or inequality as a process of answering a question: which values from a specified set, if any, make the equation or inequality true? Use substitution to determine whether a given number in a specified set makes an equation or inequality true.
Use variables to represent numbers and write expressions when solving a real-world or mathematical problem; understand that a variable can represent an unknown number, or, depending on the purpose at hand, any number in a specified set.
Solve real-world and mathematical problems by writing and solving equations of the form 𝘹 + 𝘱 = 𝘲 and 𝘱𝘹 = 𝘲 for cases in which 𝘱, 𝘲 and 𝘹 are all nonnegative rational numbers.
