Description
Brief Notes on One Variable Inequality Notes
My notes are built to be scaffolded for student learning to slowly lose the reigns into students' hands. The notes cover the basics to the different inequality signs, the difference between inclusive and non-inclusive, a few problems laid out step-by-step for teacher guidance, and then finally four examples to demonstrate what problems students could run into.
I teach students with brief notes that allot more time in class for students to practice material. I give an assignment on the material so students can use the majority of class time experiencing and mastering problems on their own. I aim for 10 minutes of notes and 20 minutes of assignment. I provide time for entrance and exit tickets additional to the lesson and notes.
My students are behind in math skills and have time and time again flunked out of previous math classes or have been expelled. I aim to use short concise notes to get students back on track and build up their math skills.
I often use Kuta worksheets or others for students to practice skills taught in this lesson. I have created a worksheet to go along with this lesson that is sectioned based on the levels of Bloom's Taxonomy.
