Great resource for extension in my class! Students love to complete these after they have finished their set tasks. Some students work in groups if they find it difficult.

Great! Offering me a masses of ideas now, so this can be tweaked for all ages at any time, too. Very impressed. Will use as number talks and also 'early finishers' or centres. Impressed.

These word problems were an excellent resource to extend my students addition and subtraction skills. They were clear and made it fun to work out all the possibilities to solve the different problems.

Understand subtraction as an unknown-addend problem. For example, subtract 10 – 8 by finding the number that makes 10 when added to 8.
Use addition to find the total number of objects arranged in rectangular arrays with up to 5 rows and up to 5 columns; write an equation to express the total as a sum of equal addends.
