Description
This task is aligned to www.flippedmath.com Precaluclus course units 2 and 3. I have adjusted the course to fit the pacing of my class. You can use this in any Precalculus course where you want to asses student knowledge without the constraints of one correct answer for each question. It is very telling of what students can/cannot do and what they do/do not understand. If you use this, make sure you integrate questions like this throughout the unit so students know how to tackle these open-ended questions before you assess them. Topics covered on this task include:
Continuity of functions
Discontinuity of functions: (removable, non-removable, jump, mixed)
Functions increasing/decreasing
Reflections
Translations
Vertical stretch/shrink
Domain
Absolute minima/maxima
Local minima/maxima
