Teaching operations on decimal numbers soon and looking for a grab, print and go unit for all the 5th grade Common Core decimal operation standards? Look no further! This unit has everything you need to teach 11 days of adding subtracting multiplying and dividing decimals.
Resources Included:
Guided Notes are perfect for 5th graders to start learning to take notes. Bite size information with a few examples to show how to work with decimal operations.
For each day of notes, there is a short video (5-10minutes) that matches the notes page. These videos can be used for a flipped classroom or digital learning. The videos can be uploaded onto a secure, private platform to use with your students.
A homework practice worksheet matches up with each day of notes so that students can practice the skills that you just taught. These can be used for math station rotations, team practice or sent home for practice.
After each day of notes, give out math exit tickets to see how well students are grasping the new learning. Each ticket has 2 problems. The format of these exit tickets meet your classroom needs and are available in 3 different ways: paper, projected or digitally in Google Forms!
A quiz is provided for use in the middle of the unit while the study guide reviews each topic to prepare for the unit test. There are 2 versions of the test provided.
Data tracking sheets are included to help monitor student learning. Options include by Common Core Standard, I Can statements, exit tickets, or by lesson.
As always, answer keys are provided for everything. Also a file is included for organization with everything from binder covers, dividers and spine labels. A pacing guide is in the bundle to help you stay organized.
