This lesson is meant do be done AFTER learning to multiplying with exponents, raise a power to a power, and divide with exponents (see links to my lessons on these concepts below). This lesson teaches how to perform each of these operations with negative exponents. The notes page includes a variety of problems with positive and negative exponents to work together. The practice page includes additional problems for independent practice.
