A fun relay quiz to use to reinforce some beginning orchestra concepts: parts of the instrument, vocabulary/symbols, and note identification. Product is a PDF presentation.

The way I use this in the classroom is by splitting the class into 2 groups. The group that is not going first waits in the hallway while the other group tries to answer every question as quick as possible. Set a timer! Students are free to pass if they don't know the answer, but they will be docked 2 seconds from their final time if someone shouts out of turn, so they need to pay attention to the order.

You could easily use this as an actual quiz by having students take out a piece of paper and write down their answers to each slide.
