Ordering and Comparing Rational and Irrational Numbers

Task Activity

This product was designed to allow students to compare positive and negative numbers in various forms. The students are given 10 tasks to complete that will instruct them to either compare two numbers they pick from a stack of number cards, or they will be instructed to order a set of numbers picked from the stack.

The 28 number cards include the following: six radicals, six decimals, 10 improper fractions and/or mixed numbers, and six percents.

For my pull-out algebra classes where extra support and modeling is necessary, I had them keep their notes on their desks and modeled several examples together. My students who were able to do this independently moved forward and I was able to take a small group to complete this together. Great resource!
