Description
This is an Overhead Throw Assessment that can be used in the fall and then again in the spring to see which students made progress and which ones need more practice.
The skill is broken down into parts such as:
- Student Turns Sideways to the Target making a Letter "T"
- Student Bends the Back Arm to form a 90 degree angle or Letter "L"
- Student Steps with Opposite Foot (Opposite of throwing arm)
- Student Twists slightly with upper body and Throws at the given target
Grading Scale is 0 or 1, 0 meaning the student is unable to perform that part of the skill and may need assistance and 1 meaning the student can perform that part of the skill.
This is an assessment that is utilized with special needs students. It can also be used with general education elementary students.
