Description

An owl pellet dissection is an engaging way to introduce your students to the idea of energy flow in an ecosystem. Through this activity, your students will dissect the owl pellet, discovering how many skulls in just one pellet. Through some simple calculations, students will discover how many animals would eat in a lifetime. This number will serve as a jumping off point for an exploration of the energy pyramid.

This product includes:

- a 2-page student dissection guide in 2 formats (real and virtual dissections)

- 15 editable Powerpoint slides for debrief after the dissection

- a 2-page teacher's guide
