PANDEMIC DOUBLING TIME - Real World Math Modeling Problem Solving Activity
Share

Description

PANDEMIC DOUBLING TIME focuses on exponential patterns as they represent real world situations about the transmission of COVID-19 in March 2020. This is an extended problem solving activity for use in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 or Algebra 2. I use this with students in small groups working collaboratively through the activity.

I wrote problems like this because some of the things we were using in class were so dated, talking about keeping a paper checkbook or video game arcades at the mall...

This problem is an editable Google Doc, please feel free to edit the business names, quantitative information or anything you like to make this problem more relevant to your students NOW!

If you make a purchase please feel free to share with the rest of your department!
