Description

Students should work with a partner to complete this worksheet in class.

Students are asked to determine the equation of a line between two points. They are expected to calculate the slope between the two points. Partner A will use the slope and Point A to determine the equation of the line using the point-slope formula. Partner B will use the slope and Point B to determine the equation of the line using the point-slope formula.

Their equations should be converted to slope-intercept form.

Students should realize both linear equations should be the same, regardless of which point is used.

Can be used to together with Point-Slope Form Task Cards / Matching Activity:

Point-Slope to Slope-Intercept MATCHING TASK CARDS
