Math Project Based Learning, Math Enrichment & Challenge

This math PBL project will have your students practicing real-world math applications while having a BLAST! This project based learning task is a great extension and enrichment activity for your early finishers. This math activity allows them to design an amusement park! They must make several decisions about the park, practicing several common core math standards along the way. Students will love acting as a park owner, and you will love the enriched math practice they get along the way.

This pack would be great for enriching second graders, perfect for third graders, and even a great review for upper grades! This is perfect for an end of the year cumulative or spiral math project!

This product is DIFFERENTIATED for you and your students, and includes U.S., Australian, and Canadian versions!! It also includes both Printable & DigitalGoogle Slides versions.

HERE ARE THE TASKS STUDENTS WILL COMPLETE:

•The Rides: Students use addition/subtraction within 100 or 1,000 (differentiated) to select the rides for their park.

•The Park Layout: Students measure the rides and attractions using an inch ruler and lay out the exhibits based upon the measurements. (cm option included)

•Fast Passes: Students write out fast passes for park visitors, using knowledge of elapsed time to tell them when to come back.

•The Ticket Booth: Students help others purchase tickets for various activities at the park. They'll help them count their money and make decisions on what they can and can't buy.

•The Concession Stand: Students help field trips of students place their concession stand orders by using their knowledge of arrays, repeated addition and basic multiplication.

•How's Business?: Students examine data about different attractions' popularity and create a bar graph using the data. Students answer questions based on the data and bar graph.
