Description

This project is for most grade 3-6 students and special education students in grades 5-12.

This project is comprised of 5 smaller projects that each take a few days to complete. The larger project is about 3 weeks long. The unit is student-directed, allows students to use a variety of presentation methods and a great opportunity to help them with project management. After each smaller project, the students fill out a reflection page to help reinforce the learning they did.

Differentiation is built into this project for different kinds of learners/gifted and talented, but I have also given you additional pages for each project for students who need abbreviated assignments or more in-depth work.

This project could also be used by inclusive-education teachers who are looking for a differentiated project to use when others in the class are doing much higher-level work.

Included in this kit:

Introduction to project for students

3 variations for each project

Reflection page

Rubric used to mark the 5 smaller projects

Checklist for the larger project

Calendar to help students manage their time

Information explaining how I use this in my classroom
