Description
Finally a middle school/high school appropriate printable for your PE class! This comes in 4 colours (blue, green, red, and purple) to correspond with my tactics & strategies resources.
What is this?
Teach your students to give effective feedback to help peers grow in their fundamental skills. This printable is an excellent addition to your physical education portfolios. Students learn what specific performance cues they need to improve on, and to practice before the teacher evaluation. Rubrics are included for outcome based assessment. This is adaptable to all sports and games that include sending.
- Checklists: Peer & Teacher (Assessment FOR Learning)
- Rubrics: Teacher (Assessment OF Learning)
How can I use this in my class?
Teach students the skill. Focus on 1-2 performance cues listed. Give them a drill that helps them focus on that specific cue. Then provide a game where that skill is used while having their partner assess how many times they perform the teaching focus. Transferable across all sports/games:
- In any striking/fielding game: baseball, kickball, etc.
- In any invasion territorial game: basketball, soccer, lacrosse, etc.
- In any net/wall game: volleyball, badminton, pickleball, etc.
What if my students aren't at this level?
While most of my students in the grade 11-12 level are usually advanced, sometimes you have students that are below grade level. Check out my other products for Intermediate Receiving and Advanced Receiving.
Another easy way to challenge students not at grade level is by posting Receiving Learning Road Map on your wall so they can easily see the framework and the next performance cues to work on.
