Description
Have you ever wondered how to seamlessly bring the PEAK (Promoting Emergence of Advanced Knowledge) language acquisition framework into your small-group instruction in a self-contained or supplemental autistic support classroom? This resource is your roadmap to unlocking PEAK’s full potential.
In my classroom, students receive daily 1:1 discrete trial instruction on individualized PEAK targets and participate in two highly engaging small-group PEAK sessions each day using materials like this. This slideshow is part of a growing collection—there are 10+ companion slide decks built the same way, with endless stimuli to keep learning fresh. Want something that can carry your groups through the entire year? Grab the full set (coming soon)
Slides are intentionally presented in no set order to promote engagement, flexibility, and attention. Each slide includes clear, teacher-friendly directions. Students gather at the Smartboard while I print the slides we’ll complete that day and provide each student with a clipboard, pencil, and pointer so they can actively participate. These PEAK groups are consistently my students’ favorite part of the day.
✨ Bonus: This slideshow links to additional PEAK-aligned resources (reflexivity, yes/no responding, and more).
Enjoy the freebies—and happy teaching!
