This google sheet has significantly decreased the time spent writing up strengths/weaknesses on the PLS-5.
How to use: **As of 2/6/25, you will need to input the questions from the protocol.** Input the student's name and pronoun then put an "x" in the column to correspond with the student's responses on the PLS-5. This does not replace the use of the test protocol. The google sheet will auto-populate a paragraph to summarize the student's strengths and weaknesses. From there, you can copy and paste the paragraph directly into your evaluation report.
For example, "Strengths were noted in her ability to use present progressive (verb + -ing), use plural, answer what and where questions, name described object, answer questions logically, tell how an object is used, name categories, formulate meaningful, grammatically correct questions in response to picture stimuli, complete analogies, use qualitative concepts (short, long), name letters, use modifying noun phrases, and repair semantic absurdities. Weaknesses were noted in her ability to use possessives, answer questions about hypothetical events, use prepositions (in, on, under), use possessive pronouns (hers, his), respond to why questions by giving a reason, use -er to indicate one who, rhyme words, delete syllables (elision), complete similes, repeat nonwords, and repeat sentences."
