This power point will help you teach POW TIDE and other elements of the SRSD strategy such as self talk and think alouds. In this power point I have added the third grade task (text), the prompts, the exemplar essay, the weak essay, the score sheet, two graphic organizers, and cute graphics. You can also use the "Eye of the Tiger" song on YouTube to get your students fired up about writing.
You can color code the exemplar essay on slides 17-18, with your class. You can type each of those parts into one of the graphic organizers on slides 19 and 20.

I downloaded this resource , thinking it would be beneficial for introducing the TIDE to 3rd graders..didn't like it that much though. I don't think I used it with my class.
This helped me start thinking through how to use POW and TIDE. It's a good starting point and the graphics were memorable for my students.
