Description
This is a FREE product meant for use as part of a unit on Conic Sections, in an Algebra 2 or College Algebra level class!
The first page is a spiral review of prior knowledge about conic sections, including equations and graphs of circles, standard form of circles, and graphing ellipses.
The second page contains guided notes about parabolas that open up, down, right, and left. The notes are in a "four square" format, a useful tool to help students better organize and distinguish between the four related concepts. It is designed to emphasize the multiple representations of the parabola, with an equation, graph, and table within each square! This could be a great addition to any interactive notebook.
Also, on top of each square, you can have students overlay a Post-it with information about the key features of the parabola! Use four different colors of Post-its, if you wish.
On the third and fourth pages, I've included completed examples for your convenience.
Thank you, and I hope this is a helpful resource for your journey through conic sections!
