Description
SELF-CHECKING & EASY TO GRADE DIGITAL ACTIVITY
Product Description: Students are tasked with helping the Mayor decorate Midland, TX for the Founder’s Day Parade! Given parallel lines cut by transversals and three angles on the map, students will find 45 missing angles. THERE IS NO ALGEBRA. The answer bank contains all 13 answers from the map. Answers will be used multiple times. Students will find the missing angles using the Corresponding Angles Postulate, the Alternate Interior Angles Theorem, Alternate Exterior Angles Theorem, Same-Side Interior Angles Theorem, Same-Side Exterior Angles Theorem, and Vertical Angles Theorem. Students will also need to know the sum of all four angles in a quadrilateral is 360 degrees and the sum of all three angles in a triangle is 180 degrees. Students will drag and drop their decorations or answers on the map!
Objective: Students will find the missing angles by applying the Corresponding Angles Postulate, the Alternate Interior Theorem, Alternate Exterior Angles Theorem, Same-Side Interior Angles Theorem, Same-Side Exterior Angles Theorem, Vertical Angles Theorem, and properties of triangles and quadrilaterals.
Google Slides Directions: Students will use the answer bank below to drag and drop the icon that corresponds with the answer they found. There are 8 copies of each icon placed one on top of the other. Most icons will be used multiple times, but not all. With this purchase, you will receive 2 links – a student version and an editable version. The student version contains a screenshot of the map. This way, students can easily drag and drop their answers onto the problems without accidentally moving a piece not intended to be moved. The editable version allows you to edit the map if you wish.
Printable Instructions: Students will either need to draw the pictures in or there is a cut and paste option. Both options are available – whichever you prefer as the teacher.
Answer Key: An answer key is provided in the last page of this document or you can click on the link to add the key to your google drive. The icons should make for easy grading!
