Description

Engage your students with this tactile match activity, where students sort parallel lines, perpendicular lines and intersecting lines into the correct category. You get a printable PDF that students can cut and paste, and an interactive digital google slides version, where students will drag and drop the 2 dimensional figures into the correct box. You can assign the google slides as a center or independent work and have ZERO prep! Or, use the PDF as a minimal prep, super engaging activity for independent math time, centers, sub plans and more. Even better - project the google slides on the board as your lesson, then pass out the printable version. This resource is meant to save you time, and give the students a fun, tactile activity! For ZERO prep you can even print out the sort activity and just have students write in like a worksheet rather than cut and paste. So many options, and you can use it year after year even as your preferences or the needs of your students change.

This parallel, perpendicular, and intersecting lines sort was great to use with my small groups. We completed one side together and then I instructed them to try another side independently to gauge what they understood. I like how each category only has a certain amount of boxes, which allows for some self-correction.
