The PowerPoint required no work. The task cards were not helpful with this year's group.

I am guessing that you mean the task cards were not helpful for this year's group because of distance learning issues. I am sorry if they will not work for your group, but please note that this resource was created long before Covid-19, and I did not anticipate that teachers would be doing this lesson remotely, and in fact, I have not advertised it as a distance learning resource. I have been going through my resources and updating them to make them more distance-learning friendly, but doing this kind of update for so many resources takes a significant amount of time, and I have not been able to get to them all. It is on my list for an update though. I am glad to know that the PowerPoint worked well for you and that the students were engaged; thank you.

I wish this had a note to teachers explaining how to use the task cards. There are 24 task cards and 4 challenge cards. I'm not sure how the seller intended the task cards be used. If there was an instruction sheet this resource would be perfect!

Thanks for your feedback. I'm not sure what kind of note you are looking for about the task cards. There are instructions on the response sheet explaining how to work through each of the sentences. As for how to implement them in the classroom, they would work like other task cards. There are many ways to use them: in centers or small groups or together as a class. Having each question on an individual card offers some flexibility and can be more manageable for students if they only have to deal with one at a time. You could also present one or two as a bell ringer or quick review activity over multiple classes to give them extended practice to help the concept stick. I hope this helps, and if you have suggestions for specific information that should be included, please feel free to send me a message at donielle.sharma@gmail.com and I will consider making any necessary revisions. Thank you!
