Description

Parallel Structure:

This PDF contains 5 pages - 1 page of explanation, 2 pages of exercises, and 2 pages of answer keys.

The topic is parallel structure and the first page explains what that is. This would be a good page to glue in an interactive notebook or to keep in a folder/binder.

The 2 pages of exercises include a page with 4 multiple-choice questions and a page with 5 fill-in-the-blank questions.

Answer keys are included for the first page, but the second page is of the "student answers may vary" format.

The exercises would be useful in multiple ways, including pre-assessment, homework, assessment, exit ticket, or in-class work. The second page (where student answers are written in) could be turned into a gallery walk situation, where student put their versions on chart paper around the room as well.

This is not meant to be an entire lesson on parallel structure; rather, this is a supplement to whatever else you are doing for this topic.
