Description
Students will complete a hands on activity matching sets of cards to each parent function. There are 4 different cards for 8 different parent functions including:
Constant
Linear
Quadratic
Cubic
Square Root
Absolute Value
Exponential
Rational
With the 4 different sets of cards:
Name of the parent function
The function itself
The graph
A description of each
Students will have to group the correct answers together and put their answers on the answer sheet provided using the indicators at the bottom of the card. The indicators are letters, numbers, colors and food to give the activity a twist.
An answer key is provided.
The activity is uploaded in a Word document form easy for editing, however I can also send it in a PDF if necessary.
