#250Years This patriotic vintage farm truck themed CVC PowerPoint presentation is a great digital phonics resource for use in the classroom or for distance learning situations. The simple paperless slideshow format works well for parents assisting their children during emergency school closings. This presentation is great for any day of patriotic significance including Memorial Day, Flag Day, The 4th Of July, September 11th, and Veteran’s Day, or it may be used at any time during the year. This resource complements classrooms with farmhouse style decor.
The format offers little learners a slide to read or decode a CVC word, a slide with a picture to confirm that they have read the word correctly, and a slide with the word used in a simple sentence. The CVC word is highlighted in the sentence. With a few exceptions, most of the words used in the simple sentence slides are words from Pre-primer and Primer sight word lists. A few of the sentences are questions. There are 20 CVC words covered in this format.
The next section offers a “Show What You Know!” opportunity. There are 5 pages with 5 CVC words on each page for learners to read or decode. These pages also include words such as did, fun, or get that are difficult to picture as well. No nonsense words are used.
