Description
This is a simple, yet very engaging activity that you can use to enhance your students' learning of ratios and ratios in simplest form. It uses the typical pattern blocks that you see in most classrooms, yellow hexagon, red trapezoid, etc...and it allows students to get in groups and create whatever they'd like. I've had students create Minion replicas, flower gardens, houses, words, and even cars out of these pattern blocks and they are amazing!
You can even make it more difficult by creating your own ratios and having students use those ratios to create something amazing!

My students absolutely loved this activity. It was engaging and very fun.
My students enjoyed how engaging the activities were and felt it helped them learn/practice 6th grade content standards.
There are spelling errors on the page, rhombus's should be rhombuses. Otherwise my students enjoyed the activity.
Thank you so much!
