Description

Are you looking for a new STEM activity for your morning work? Try our STEM pattern block challenge :)

The aim of these pattern block puzzles is to build fine motor and spatial awareness skills while to practicing, math, literacy, shape and color recognition.

*You will need a set of pattern blocks to do these challenges.

This pack contains 26 pattern block task cards to complete!

We have put 3 cards per page which can be laminated and cut to fit into a plastic container. There is also a cover card which contains all 26 designs as a preview. Each task card is labelled (A-Z).

Various difficulty levels

This challenge can be adapted for various age groups as the task cards involve constructing, math and writing. Younger students can simply construct the designs whist older students can do the additional math and writing tasks.

These challenges are fun and highly stimulating as they range from basic patterns to more complex designs. We have included designs such as animals, transport, nature and geometric patterns.

Use

Use as a back to school center

Practice shape recognition, colors, math and literacy

Math

We have included an area marked on each card to tally the pattern blocks used for each design. A designated sheet is also included to do the calculations. This can also be laminated for prolonged used.

Once the calculations sheet and challenge cards are laminated, a dry erase marker can be used to do the math.

Grow a love for engineering and math with these interesting task cards.
