Description

Work on those fine motor skills and engage your students in creating pictures out of pattern blocks. Each puzzle mat includes a picture of a Spring item built with pattern blocks. Pictures are actual size so blocks will fit directly on the mat. After building each pictures, they will sort the blocks they used. Then they will count how many of each block is used to make the picture. These puzzles have a Spring theme including a raindrop, a bee, a birdhouse, a bird, a daisy flower, a bug, an umbrella, a watering can, a tulip, and a flower. Each picture includes seasonal clip art.

This product contains 10 Pattern Blocks Puzzles Activity Work Mats perfect for Spring months. There are three versions included - 1. Build the picture on a mat that includes actual pattern blocks colors used to make the picture. Option 2 includes a picture made with a black & white outline of the pattern blocks. 3 is the most challenging. Students fit the pattern blocks within the outline forming the picture on their own. All pictures are scaled to actual size of pattern blocks. This is a great activity for sorting and classifying blocks. I've also included multiple student recording sheets and graphing options for students to graph the pieces they use.

All 10 mats are also in a black and white printer friendly form. Students can color their own pictures to match the design they build.

Your students will need access to pattern blocks.

These task cards are perfect for morning work, early finishers, fine motor tubs, math stations or centers.
