Description
This is one of my student's FAVORITE math centers all year... Pattern Buddies! We complete our patterns during the first few weeks of school and then enjoy them in the Math Center for the rest of the year!
Each student will make a pattern of their choice on one of the two provided pattern strips (with or without a space for a photo) using 1-inch squares of construction paper. Then, after laminating, place all of the pattern strips in a bin or bag along with plenty of recording pages, and this math center is ready to use! Two different recording pages are provided. One asks students to simply copy the patterns of three of their buddies (great for the beginning of the year). The other recording page requires students to color AND label the patterns (appropriate for later in the school year or as a review activity). At the end of the year, students will be so tickled to take their patterns home!
